We spent the morning with the Tolleys walking around Gamla Stan, and maybe spend a few minutes listening to one of the street performers who was so dang good. This city is really super awesome, to be a tourist in.
This week kind of felt like a quiet misty morning, as it was rather calm. Which was nice, but at the same time frustrating because of the lack of appointments that went through.
One could compare the work that happened this week to a more precision type of work, as we met with a few people, but those few people are progressing quite quickly, and have been cool to see.
We had the Ward Party this week as well, had a julbord (not nearly as good as last years up in Norrland, but I didn't tell anyone that) and listened as my companion, and Elder Elinkowski played amazing piano solos and sang. Lots of talent, good food, and a fun 3 hours.
During church this week there was someone who had a diabetic shock, and the whole Sacrament stopped. . apparently it's happened before and due to the ward party there was more than enough sugar to bring her back, so the ward knew what to do. . but it was a bit scary as she was unresponsive for a while.
I had a spiritual prompting this week to read an old talk by Terry Warner that Bishop Olsen gave me, and doing so rekindled some old emotions I've had about the Gospel, and seeing it in a new light really pointed my personally of where I need to go. . and that was kind of what this week was all about. Personal bettering, and lots of contemplation.
D&C 11:18 - I came across it after praying for what to do in some of my ''personal evaluation'' time at night. It was short, simple, and gave me confidence to just follow the Spirit and do what feels right in this evaluation. . and actually made it easier to feel the spirit afterward.
The week ended well though with a baptism! It was the Jakobsberg II Elders who baptized a man from China. Erving (Bingxia) Shaw . . such a cool Asian. He literally gave up everything in China in order to be baptized. Inspiring, förstår du.
It's strange seeing some old companions go home this week. . a Jackson Carpenter will probably be at your front door step sometime in the coming months.
But for plans next week, I wish I knew. No one has invited us over which is depressing, but with the Tolleys here, they'll give us a good Christmas if all else fails.
