Family, this week's letter will be a bit shorter due to a lack of events that happened this week, but nonetheless a great week with an always inspiring message. This week we had basically only sit down teaches with investigators. It was awesome. Some are not so positive, while others you can see something stirring within them,. It's just so hard to say what you're feeling when it comes to the gospel and help other people understand. There was this wonderful family that is SO religious and I thought, so ready for the gospel. We went back, and they said not interested. It's just sad, honestly, because they don't know what they're rejecting. I feel like a lot of the times, that's true with us though.. in a way.
Going along with that, the theme of the week is found in 1st Corinthians 2:9, ''eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him '' I bore testimony of this yesterday, and it's more true now than ever.
It's interesting to relate this topic to the one of ''Earnest'' found in the Bible Dictionary. I know I bring this topic up like once every other week, but if you haven't read it go do it! Earnest talks about the spirit and how that is merely a taste of the joy in the world to come. It's a promise of what we will receive if we do all we are supposed to. Think of how great our joy is when the spirit overwhelms us. When we are with our family, when we do what's right, when we read and immerse ourselves in all these things the joy is literally incomprehensible and or describable with words. And we have no idea the things God has in store for us? I don't think we realize a lot of the time what this test on earth really is preparing us for. Joy beyond anything we've ever known. I just wish I could tell people this, but I can't really, I can only muster out words that kind of tell what it could feel like. Everyone has to experience it for themselves for it to stick, and I totally have now. I just don't know how to convey that to others!
Well it hit -13 morning, and it's dropping.. so you can imagine we've been blessed with not too much contacting or tracting. But that'll probably come.
I don't even think about my Swedish anymore, it's still bad, but my understanding is nigh perfect unless there's a word I don't know.. and I can talk pretty easily even if I stumble a bit. Thanks for your prayers in that. :)
