Although lacked in excitement. I received the package, and on Tuesday night had an absolutery wonderful timing listening to all of your wonderful voices (all of the girls voices, ie Sarah Bailey and Mother, not Jenn or Grandma, were totally different than what I remember. It was crazy. I can't wait to see you guys! So darn excited. I miss all of you.
My companion and I have been a little lost about what to do, as again it seems we are just hunting down people who were meeting with us prior, but for some reason lost the desire to. Not to mention the two people who decided to confront us on the street with their argumets about how God is a terrible, evil God because of the Old Testament. Super annoying, plus this week we had 7-8 people cancel lessons on us, for one reason or another. It was frustrating, but then on Thursday we taught a less-active who we've been teaching for a few weeks. Kristin.
She had read the Book of Mormon as we asked, she understood tons, came with tons of questions, and you can tell her Gospel understanding is beginning to grow. That small step, of someone just trying to figure out what's right in life. Gave me so much inspiration and the satisfaction of how worth it this really is. I loved it.
It was a slow week as teaches just didn't seem to line up, but we worked hard. It showed itself in a simple, but clearly led by the spirit experience when we were returning to an appointment in Tensta and that appointment turned out to be a ''I want the Book of Mormon, but not your visits'' kinda thing. So we turned around and contacted the first person we saw. Elder Allen did, actually, and she was receptive and said come home to me, you need to teach my husband. . a good end to a rough week. We walked in to see a man in a wheel chair named Sammy. We talked a little and there's a clear need of the Gospel in their home and hopefully we'll be able to return to his house this week and continue teaching.
Thanks one and all for your uplifting words. They help so much. Every day I feel a little more on track and I hope I can be as sir Frankl puts it, ''Worthy of my Sufferings.''
You're the best!
