No snow, just a bit of rain and we're all wondering if we've somehow missed the winter.
And as a shout out to Samuel Grover, I read the letter to his parents and was pretty in awe at the situation and how his parents described Sam's attitude in all of that - inspiring. I need his email, fyi.
We had an alright four days, since I emailed last. . so there's really not a whole lot to report so this will be quick.
The scripture of the week was found in Alma 22:15. . with Aaron preaching to Lamoni's father and him willing to give up ''all his sins.'' We have been sharing this scripture, and putting it into practice every time we teach a member or new convert, less active, and there's a lot of power behind that story. . and we shared it with a less active lady in the ward (due to some contention with her and the ward, I believe and lots of story I don't know) yet she's not less active at heart. She understands the entire principle behind ''giving everything to God'' and I have so much respect for her. That's the theme I'm trying to drill into me. Sacrifice, more. Not time, because I give a lot of time, but how can I make my time a bit better, and worry a bit more about the people and a bit less about me.
This week a member of the Bäckman family, who we've been teaching for a while, decided to officially come back to church! They're not all members, but the mother is active. He was less active and has slowly participated more and more in lessons, but never came to church. He showed up 3 weeks in a row and we had a super spiritual teach with him about getting the priesthood. Goes to show we really are just instruments, but nothing happens without God and the other person being willing. We should just feel lucky we get to be a part of it!
As for this week, we do have good number of scheduled teaches, and we're going to continue finding and do everything we can - as our investigator pool is low. We're working with about 6-7 less actives, which is equally important. . so we're feeling good.
During planning this week, we were inspired to go to Hässelby. Felt good, nothing crazy. . and when we arrived we got lost pretty quick. We asked the first person we saw, turns out she's from Poland, and we had a solid Gospel conversation. Showed her where she should go, found our route and we both left uplifted. She's here temporarily so there was no way to get contact info. But I'll bet you she looks at the website, and a miracle happens.
It was a simple, act of kindness but sure evidence of us being tools in the Lords hand.
Thanks for all you do!
